Materials

An excellent result of installing composite veneers, which will satisfy you 100%, is possible if two conditions are met:

  • Experienced dentist,
  • Best materials.

In our clinic, composite veneers are installed by a highly qualified therapist with 19 years of experience – Tatiana Kuten. One of our Top aesthetic restoration specialists.

“Estelite Sigma Quick is definitely one of the best materials for aesthetic restoration of teeth by applying composite veneers. It is a Japanese radiopaque light-curing material that combines advanced technological development with the highest aesthetics and ease of use. The polymerisation rate of the composite is three times higher than analogs, coupled with high resistance to external light sources.”

Application

Composite veneers are applied in successive layers to the surface of each tooth, shaped directly in the mouth. The shade from the palette is selected individually for each patient. Each layer is baked with a lamp with a specific wavelength of light. Using different application techniques, the dentist has the ability to simulate different optical effects to give the veneers a natural look.

Teeth grinding

Any full-fledged veneer requires teeth grinding – preparation of a thin layer of enamel before applying a composite or ceramic plate. The only exceptions are micro restorations of cracks, marginal chips of diastemas, when only a small area of the tooth is prepared for better fixation, directly applied with the veneer without grinding.

If it is necessary to correct the shape or volume, in any case, an appropriate preparation will be required. Composite veneers have a thickness of 0.3 – 0.6 mm and if you do not grind the tooth, then its aesthetics will significantly change for the worse. Also, without turning, it is impossible to create a smooth and reliable transition of the veneer to the neck of the tooth, which in the future will provoke chipping, accelerated formation of dental plaque and, as a result, inflammation of the gums and the formation of caries.

A feature of any veneers is that after their installation it is no longer possible to refuse to wear them, because for installation, the tooth enamel will be lightly grinded. This procedure is akin to an ordinary filling. Consider this fact when making your choice.

Whitening of composite veneers

Composites are very weakly amenable to bleaching, but it is still possible to remove the surface layer of dyes if they are professionally cleaned at least once every six months. A rarer exposure will no longer bring results, because the discoloration will penetrate into the deeper layers of the veneer. Professional cleaning and whitening .

If you are a smoker, red wine, coffee or strong tea lover, then you should be aware that these habits change the color of composite veneers and healthy teeth in different ways. Over time, their color will differ. A similar situation occurs with ceramic veneers. But in their case, the veneer does not change color and the difference becomes more striking, the more the color of your own enamel on the adjacent teeth changes.
